It Worked So Well I Stopped Doing It

It's true, I have Shiny Object Syndrome (SOS).
The three most pronounced symptoms of SOS are:
1. Easily distracted by new ideas/concepts/strategies.
2. Tempted by the latest trend/guru/technique.
3. A tendency to leave behind tried and true methods that worked well, and were successful for the business, in favor of the latest and greatest.
And, as a recovering sufferer of SOS, I need to make sure that there is balance between the temptation of new and the adherence to that which is tried and true.
This reminder of SOS comes to mind as I have had coaching client discussions that go like this:
Me: Does the idea we discussed resonate with you?
Client: It does - in fact it's a lot like something I used to do.
Me: It worked so well that you stopped, huh?
Client: Exactly.
Do you suffer from SOS in your wholesaling practice?
Next time you go in search of something “shiny and new”, be sure to check the “I used it before and it worked really well” file.
