It's a bland, boring building.
 

The front of it is a wedge-shot to one of the busiest freeways in NorCal.
 

It's tucked next to an Arco gas station and a seemingly sketchy thrift store.
 

The 'cover' of this hotel screams KEEP DRIVING.
 

And yet, here we are.
 

In one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in.
 

Happy hour wine and cheese, evening hot cookies, plus a huge hot and cold food breakfast spread all included. 
 

Staffed by genuinely nice and helpful folks.
 

And that freeway?
 

You can't hear it or see it as the room faces Richardson Bay and overlooks Mount Tamalpais. 
 

Turns out this 'book' is a great read.
 

So the next time the 'cover' of an advisor or COI book says 'avoid', you're wise to at least open it up and learn more. 
 

The story line, and it's ending, may thoroughly surprise you.
