With all leagues in action in late October, we are at peak fandom.
I'm reminded of Hall of Fame announcer inductee Jack Bucks' advice geared towards new sports broadcasters.
Since he spent over 50 years behind the microphone, he was more than qualified to give it:
Don’t be afraid of the silence.
Yet his message is applicable to us all.
Wholesalers get paid a ton of money to communicate information through the spoken word.
But some of the most powerful messaging we can convey comes from when we say nothing at all.
