I'll be brief: the sequel

He had a long list of accomplishments.

Including: He was, deservedly, the renowned orator of his day.

History shows that he enthralled his audience for two full hours.

Then Abraham Lincoln took the stage.

And, in just over 2 minutes, Lincoln relegated Edward Everest to a footnote* in the history of the ceremony surrounding the dedication of the Gettysburg's National Cemetery.

As one historian framed Everett's talk, "it was a foil to the better thing that followed". 

The Philadelphia Age review stated, “He gave us plenty of words, but no heart.”

As a great wholesaler, you spend a ton of time in front of audiences large and small.

The impact of your message is not measured by the number of words spoken.

As stated previously, longer is not better.

Longer is simply longer.

Better is better.
