Your advisor's algorithm

Big nosedive.

Precipitous decline.

Maddeningly frustrating.

All apt descriptors of the now fewer number of eyeballs viewing our content on LinkedIn, caused by a change in how LinkedIn evaluates content and displays it in your feed.

They have switched up their algorithm.

What's that have to do with your wholesaling practice?

A lot, if you consider that the firms that you serve, and the advisors you seek to earn business from, also have algorithms that dictate their product partner decisions.

Factors that uniquely weigh in their calculation may include:
  • product performance
  • monetary support
  • your frequency of contact
  • quality and quantity of value add data/information
  • access to product and/or portfolio leaders from your firm.
Each advisor will weigh these considerations, and more, to decide who they will allocate their client dollars to.

Wholesalers that acknowledge the evolution, and sometimes subtle differences, in their advisors' algorithms will keep their 'content' in the advisor's 'feed'.
