A crap-load, technically speaking

"How much mulch did you order?"
It seemed like an innocent enough question.
"10 cubic yards", The Mrs. replied.
"Uh, ok", I said in my “we've been married for almost 30 years, so asking too many questions doesn't even matter because I already agreed to help spread the mulch on the hillside in the yard”, voice.
The next day a dump truck backed into the driveway.
Out poured a crap-load of mulch.
With crap-load specifically defined as a 14 foot long, 7.5 foot wide and 3.5 foot high pile.
We then spent the afternoon (and following morning) distributing said crap-load in the yard.
She, damn near getting heat stroke from the 90 degree heat.
Me, mostly rendered immobile from hiking up and down the hill.
What's the wholesaling lesson here?
Ask better questions.
Then dig deeper, and peel the onion, to better understand the answers.
And, hire a gardener.
