Banned from advisor's office

Dumbfounded, confused and disappointed.
As I listened to the Barron's Top 100 Advisor tell me their story, my brain cycled through each of these emotions.
My question, designed to better understand how as wholesalers we may rub advisors the wrong way, was asked during a taping of The New Wholesaler Masterminds Radio Show podcast.
The advisor spoke of a wholesaler who, thinking that they were being helpful to her by passing along best practices from other advisors, made the fatal error of citing those others advisors by name.
S/he violated one of the cardinal rules of our business: what you see in an advisors office and what you hear in an advisors office stays in the advisors office.
Now that offending wholesaler is banned from this Top 100 advisor's office.
To be clear: does this mean we are not permitted to cross pollinate great ideas as we make our way though our regions?
Of course not - great wholesalers deftly do it every day.
Does this mean we have an obligation to anonymize what we hear and interpret/relate that information in such a way that we don't expose anothers' trade secrets or personal shortcomings?
It most certainly does.
Prudence and sound judgment. Hallmarks of great wholesalers.
