Make 'em jealous

It took two years.
And a host of live visits combined with phone follow up.
Then it finally happened.
A $10,000,000 trade.
Which was followed shortly thereafter by $50,000,000 more.
Time to pop the Dom Pérignon and soak in the congratulatory calls!
Unless there is no champagne and there are precious few calls.
Why wouldn't there be dancing in the streets, after all $60 million is big number?
One reason is human jealousy.
Jealousy that comes cloaked in thoughts (and sometimes out-loud statements) such as:
"Oh, that must have simply been luck."
"Well sure, that territory has 1000 more advisors and $200 million more in opportunity than I do."
"If my internal had not left I would land one of those."
Isn't it interesting, the mental gymnastics we send ourselves through - when all we are is jealous.
Great wholesalers love, love, love to make 'em jealous.
