Your perfect enemy

It's called The Coop.

An L.A. based company that specializes in play and party spaces for kids and their parents.

It has Shark Tank's Barbara Corcoran as an investor.

As she counseled the two owners of The Coop about their then flat-lining sales, she warned them about the entrepreneurs' arch enemy:

Insistence on perfection.

And, as observed in my coaching clients, it's clear that wholesalers are not immune from this phenomenon.

If you too have a tendency to insist on being perfect in all you do, beware.

Because, for too many folks, perfect is the enemy of done

Which doesn't mean your work needs to become sloppy, unprepared, unprofessional or in any way half baked.

It does mean that there is a point of diminishing returns; a point at which the extra time you spend on getting it perfect will cost you unnecessary time and money.

Ask yourself, "What's more important for the task at hand, perfect or done?"
